About me

zb and little buddy

I’m Z. I’ve spent 20+ years living the IT support grind, so I know the long hours, the bad posture, and the stress that comes with it. The truth is, my life didn’t stop because I had a few significant injuries. It actually sped up.

Juggling 10, 12, or 15-hour shifts, the commute, and getting the little one to sleep, and don’t forget those “honey do’s.” It’s real. I get you.

I had to get comfortable with the fact that being He-Man wasn’t in the cards anymore. But that didn’t mean I couldn’t still be strong, athletic, and look good in a short-sleeve shirt.

My only solution was to find a way to train that was flexible and could scale with my injuries, my environment, and my family duties. I’m here to share that blueprint with you. I call it a blueprint, but it’s really more like a martial art.

I learned to work with what’s available. I adopted the saying “Play the cards you’re dealt” as my personal mantra. So, do what you can with what you have. Be thankful for what you have because at any given moment you could have less.

Functional training and resistance training don’t have to be confusing. I’m here to help.
